Our Openstack infrastructure, which backs the eRI platforms and services, is being upgraded by our third party support vendors, StackHPC. The upgrades will be implemented overnight commencing on the evening of Tuesday, Sep 29th, and continuing again overnight on Wed Sep 30th. The Openstack dashboard, APIs, and external network connections may suffer brief (minutes) interruptions on both nights. The bare metal compute nodes, and Slurm jobs, should not be affected. VMs running the GPFS storage software may need restarting in the mornings. This would affect the interactive-[0-3] nodes and the vgpu-[2-3] nodes only. Apart from the network interruptions, Windows VMs should be unaffected.
